PRESS RELEASE: CALIFORNIA LANDLORDS SUMMIT ON HOMELESSNESS ANNOUNCES FULL SPEAKER LINEUP

BAKERSFIELD, CA, OCTOBER 8, 2018The California Landlord’s Summit On Homelessness today announced its lineup of speakers. This event will bring together hundreds of the state’s leading landlords, property owners and homeless service providers to learn and make a difference in their communities.
The summit will kickoff with remarks by Kern County Housing Authority Executive Director Stephen Pelz. That will be followed by presentations from the Kern County Housing Collaborative and the Income Property Association of Kern.
Summit goers will then be able to choose between several workshops including a town hall with elected officials and a legal workshop. Over 20 presenters from the private and public sector will educate landlords on all aspects of renting to homeless individuals.
Proceedings will conclude with lunch service and two keynote addresses. First, Greg Terzakis of the California Apartment Association will discuss rent control and homelessness. Finally, Coconut Joe’s founder Joe Coughlin will offer an inspiring message about how entrepreneurs can be leaders in the fight against homelessness.
The California Landlord’s Summit on Homelessness will take place on Tuesday October 16, 2018 from 8:00 am to 2:00pm. It will be at the DoubleTree Hotel, 3100 Camino Del Rio Ct, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Press inquiries should be sent to press@ipaknet.org.
